A day-long strike outside the MGM Mirage's CityCenter ended Tuesday afternoon when officials representing union construction workers reached an agreement with Perini Building Co. concerning improved safety measures. Protestors had picketed outside the $9.2 billion project in reaction to the deaths of six workers at the CityCenter project and 11 deaths total on Strip construction sites in the last year and a half. "The winners are the workers," said Steve Ross, head of the Southern Nevada Building and Construction Trades Council.
