A person suffering an apparent gunshot wound was declared dead after he was found early Wednesday behind a downtown Las Vegas business, according to Metro Police.
Emergency dispatchers received a report about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday of a male bleeding behind a business in the 800 block of South Sixth Street, police said.
Officers found the person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and medics declared him dead at the scene, police said.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation, police said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name, as well as the cause and manner of death, police said.
